President Nana Akufo-Addo has invited the leadership of Parliament to his office at the Jubilee House this afternoon.
In a correspondence sent to Parliament, the Speaker of Parliament, Prof.Mike Oquaye read out the content and informed the House of the intended meeting with the President, which is scheduled at 3pm today, 16th March.
The leadership is expected to attend to the business of the House and leave for the meeting later this afternoon.
Though the purpose of the meeting was not indicated in the letter sent to the legislature, it is believed it is will centre on the coronavirus pandemic that has plaqued the country with six recorded cases already and government’s plans to contain and Parliament’s role.
